Garden Bounty

Our garden is growing! The girls love to run down and see how tall the plants are getting. The other night we had our first harvest. Emily and Alaina picked 2 red ripe strawberries. Alaina shared the biggest one with Lila. They declared them most delicious!

Kindergarten Graduate

Our oldest is going to be a first grader! Today was Emily's "Kindergarten Celebration" and we celebrated her making it through her first year of school. Here she is singing some songs with her classmates and then posing with her teacher, Mrs. Cothren. She goes to school tomorrow for a field day but then she is off for the rest of the summer! We are so proud of our biggest little girl!

Brazilian Style

Uncle Neil and Aunt Raquel visited family in Brazil a couple of weeks ago. Whenever they go they bring back the most beautiful dresses for the girls. Here they are wearing the sundresses Neil and Raquel sent. I'll have to post a pic of the party dresses later. They will wear them tomorrow for church I'm sure. I have to say the matching purses were a big hit as well. No, Rylan didn't get a dress. He received a Brazilian soccer uniform. I'll have to post that later too - Thanks N & R for the presents. They love them!

The Graduate

Yesterday was Alaina's last day of preschool. She has another year before she starts kindergarten, but much of her class starts this fall so they have a "graduation" at the end of the year. Alaina wore her cap and tassel and received her diploma for completing her first year of preschool.

Daddy's Dump Truck

So last month we posted about Ryan's broke down dump truck. Well, now he is back to hauling. He was able to buy a new truck and use parts from his old truck, like the dump, to create a new super haulin' dumpin' machine. He enjoys driving this one more because it isn't as close to being an antique as his last machine was. Emily and Alaina like it better than the old truck too because it isn't quite as loud, its a little nicer in the cab, and its a prettier color. They love to take rides with Daddy. In the above picture the truck is parked in our backyard. Ryan hauled some gravel to put in the area where our patio will be. We are looking forward to being able to use our barbecue again! The reinstatement of the dump truck has also created some progress down in the area where the Frank and Hanson property lines meet. All the posts for the pole building are in the ground!
