Country Living

 This post could be an advertisement for John Deere.  Just wanted to warn you there is a lot of green and yellow in these pictures.

 John, Amy, Grace, and James came for a visit last week.  As small town folk we felt it our duty to teach them the basics of country living. 

 The basics included BB gun target practice, chicken catching, and some tractor riding.

It was some good country fun!

We Got Chickens!

 Did I tell y'all that we got us some chickens?

 We have 6 so far and we want to get about 4 more.

 The kids love their chickens.

 The chicken coop is the place to be when friends (or in this case, cousins) come over.

So if you want to hold a chicken, stop on by and Rylan will round one up for you!

First Camping Trip of the Summer

 We want to go on several camping trips this summer.  These are some pics of our first trip of the year.

 We all enjoyed our time in amoung the trees at Lewis and Clark State Park.  Very nice little campground.

 It was Bowen's first ever camping trip.  He got nice and dirty.

 Camping is such a great thing to do as a family.

We definitely recommend it!

To Experience a Lollipop

 After sitting through a haircut, Bowen got to experience a lollipop.

 He had seen his brother and sisters enjoying them but had never had his own before this.

 It was a rather messy experience so I put him in the sink.

I think its safe to say, he thought it was delicious!!

Take Me Out to the Ball Game

 Last Saturday was Emily's ballet recital.  

 Emily had lots of fans in the audience to cheer her on.  Grandma and Grandpa, her friend Ellie and the rest of the Leitz family, and her sisters and I.  Such a fan club she has!  

Emily was a little disappointed because her classes' song wasn't started right and they didn't get to perform the first part of their dance.  One of the joys of live entertainment I guess.  I just think it is cool she will get up in front of all those people and perform!

To Great Grandma's House We Go
